Post holiday cheat sheet

The bulge is part of the holiday tradition, gaining two or twelve pounds seems as festive as dressing the tree and gingerbread.  Its that time of the year when we are allowed and actively encouraged to over indulge, we are so close to the ‘new year resolutions’ its almost a free pass.

Come January 1st though, when the hangover is wearing off, the credit card balance has mounted up and the resolutions begin, the bulge is the company you don’t want. Be a size 6 or 16 it is the same feeling, tight clothes, bit of an overhang and puffy face.

The routine begins; tabloid magazines bought for the latest crazy celeb diet, those seemingly extreme detox diets seem to make sense, the gym membership is dusted off and hey presto a thinner you in days. However we all know it doesn’t quite work like that, buying the magazine and gym membership doesn’t get you instantly back in your jeans, it is so much more tedious and time consuming, that old mantra of eating less and moving more is the only thing that is going to probably work.
